Jardim Botânico da Universidade de Lisboa

Filling my lungs with flawlessly pure oxygen is not always possible in Lisbon. However, there I was, surrounded by chlorofile, trees, greenhouses, waterlilies and shades of green - vivid, pale, jade, teal, mint... Entering the Ent World and being in contact with Nature made me feel very... Poison Ivy, I guess. I nearly lost myself in those endless labyrinthic gardens... It's such a beautiful place to walk, to photograph and to relax. Once again, I was the only person in the whole area! Are people too busy to explore this mini-forest?
It started raining heavily and I had to hurry my stroll because eventually it all became muddy and swampy and I wasn't wearing my wellies... 

I would surely come back though, as this Botanical Garden is such a wonderful and interesting place to visit.

Encher os pulmões de oxigénio puro e impecável nem sempre é possível em Lisboa. Porém, ali estava eu, rodeada de clorofila, árvores, estufas, nenúfares e tons de verde - pálido, vibrante, jade, menta... Entrar no mundo dos Ents e estar em contacto com a Natureza fez-me sentir muito... Poison Ivy! Quase me perdi na infinitude labiríntica de jardins... É um lugar tão bonito para se passear, para fotografar e para relaxar. Mais uma vez, eu era a única visitante no recinto. As pessoas andam demasiado ocupadas para explorar esta mini-floresta?

Começou a chover torrencialmente e tive de despachar o passeio porque eventualmente gerou-se ali um lamaçal pantanoso e eu não estava com as galochas calçadas...

Com certeza que lá voltarei, dado que este Jardim Botânico é um lugar tão maravilhoso e interessante para se visitar.

Snagi - Frozen Yogurt

This was the first time I ate a frozen yogurt! At last! Apparently, it's the healthy cousin of ice cream. A frozen dessert made with yogurt, lower in fat (not that I care about calories!). The fun part is when you get to pick all those delicious toppings and ingredients on top of it! Marshmallows, berries, raisins, chocolate, jam, honey, nuts... Endless temptations! I am quite a clumsy person when it comes to self-service, and very exaggerated, so I just tried to put the biggest quantity of extras in my cup of frozen yogurt, blinded by gluttony, ending up with the nice waitress picking walnuts, corn flakes and strawberries from the floor.

Eis a primeira vez que como um frozen yogurt! Finalmente! Segundo consta, é a versão saudável do gelado. Uma sobremesa gelada à base de iogurte, baixa em matéria gorda (como se eu me preocupasse com as calorias...). A piada da coisa é que podemos enfiar-lhe toppings e ingredientes extra! Marshmallows, bagas, passas, compota, chocolate, mel, nozes... Um sem-fim de tentações! Eu sou uma pessoa bastante desastrada quando se trata de self-service, a modos que tentei pôr a maior quantidade de extras no meu iogurtinho gelado, cega pela gula, acabando com a simpática empregada de balcão a apanhar frutos secos, cereais e morangos do chão.

Xocoa

On a rainy afternoon, I found myself entering a world that would please my taste buds passionately. This place looks like a Northern European tea room/chocolaterie with neat and fancy decor, but the blissful cocoa galore wasn't just eye-candy, the taste of the home made chocolate was delightfully delicious and rich! There were many different kinds of truffles, cakes, biscuits, cookies, chocolate gingerbread men... chocolate records!

Not to mention the lovely couple who owns that little saccharine paradise, they were both very warm and welcoming - when it comes to eat or drink or anything pleasure-related in a public place, it takes only 1 second with an arrogant or rude waiter to make me lose my appetite.
Anyway, the ambient and the music were absolutely cool and adorable. I got myself some truffles to eat after dinner at home. Meanwhile, I drank the most delicious hot chocolate ever! Seriously, you have to try it. It's liquid dope, I didn't even have to put sugar or anything on it, it was perfect plain as it was, and there is nothing better than a cup of hot choc on a rainy day.
In a nutshell, Xocoa was love at first taste. Ladies on PMS, chocolate lovers, anyone who's up for a romantic dessert: go for it!


Numa tarde de chuva, dei por mim a entrar num mundo que apaixonaria e satisfaria as minhas papilas gustativas. Este lugar parece uma sala de chá ou chocolateria algures do Norte da Europa, com uma decoração bonita e charmosa, mas o monte de cacau presente no espaço não é só fogo de vista, o paladar deste chocolate artesanal é um deleite de delícia! É trufas, bolos, biscoitos, bolachinhas, gingerbread man em chocolate... e até discos em vinil... em chocolate!

Isto para nem falar o casal amável que gere este pequeno paraíso de sacarina, foram muito calorosos e simpáticos, bastante atenciosos - quando quero comer, beber ou qualquer coisa gratificante num estabelecimento público, basta um atendimento rude para me fazer perder o apetite.

O ambiente e a música eram bastante cool e de bom gosto. Lá comprei umas trufas sortidas para levar para casa e enfardar como sobremesa pós-jantar. Entretanto, pedi o chocolate quente mais delicioso de sempre para beber in loco. A sério, é obrigatório provar tal maravilha. Aquilo é droga líquida! Eu nem tive de adicionar açúcar nem nada, estava perfeito assim, simples. E não há nada melhor que beber um chocolate quente num dia chuvoso!
Resumindo e concluindo, Xocoa foi amor à primeira experiência gustativa. Senhoras em tensão pré-menstrual, viciados e amantes de chocolate, alguém que esteja a fim de uma sobremesa romântica: corram até lá!
