As you can see, I haven't bought a lot of things, just a few that I felt like I was needing it, when only I just wanted them, simply as that. In a nutshell: some make-up and a t-shirt.

L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Smoothing Resurfacing Primer

Inspired by professional make-up, L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Smoothing Resurfacing Primer masks wrinkles and uneven textures in the skin, making the complexion incredibly smooth with a velvety touch. Skin feels soft as if resurfaced.

Directions for use:

Apply the Smoothing Resurfacing Primer on shadowy areas such as under the eye, and on the least smooth areas: the forehead, the sides of the nostrils and around the mouth, to stop lipstick from running.

Apply in little dabs, always smoothing the primer from the inside to the outside of the face (so as to avoid any tide-marks on the edges of the face).

Só vos posso dizer que este primer faz jus ao termo "profissional", e olhem que eu nem sou muito exigente nestas coisas de prep, prime & pimp. Bom, se calhar até sou, não tenho é experiência suficiente no ramo para vos poder dar um veredicto de alta fidelidade. Mas posso confirmar que estou satisfeita com o produto: suaviza e alisa a derme, deixando-nos com uma pele radiosa e aveludada, uniformizando a tez. Por vezes dou por mim a barrar a cara com isto logo pela manhã, pela sensação rejuvenescedora e suavizante, deixando a face macia, com um acabamento mate mas hidratante, a postos para a base, ou nem sendo necessário passar a esse capítulo.

Foi a única t-shirt de jeito que encontrei na vastidão têxtil da H&M! Sempre adorei Os Pequenos Póneis! Está prometido um registo juvenil, fresco e despretensioso.

Eis uma tonalidade interessante entre o acobreado escuro, o castanho queimado e o vinho, e estou a apostar na promessa de um smokey eye género flapper com um toque urbano e vamp.

Kiko Smart Lipstick #10

For less than 2 euros, I've bought this pretty lipstick that, for some reason, smells like almond liquor. This is a classic, vintage, medium/dark pink, leaning a bit on the mauve side and it feels alright on the lips, perhaps a bit drying after a few hours without lip balm.

Por 1.90, comprei este batôm que, vá-se lá saber porquê, cheira a licor de amêndoa. Esta cor é clássica, antiquada e bonita, uma tonalidade rosa médio/escuro, roçando um pouco o violeta e assenta bem nos lábios, talvez um bocado seco após algumas horas sem bálsamo labial.

For 2.10 euros, this is a must-have that helps defining and sculpting the eyebrow. This shade of brown looks a bit taupe to me but at least it's not black, otherwise I would look like a clownish version of a mix between Frida Kahlo and Elizabeth Taylor.

Por 2.10 euros, este é um clássico básico que ajuda a definir e esculpir as sobrancelhas. Este tom de castanho roça um bocado o toupeira, ou então sou daltónica, mas pelo menos de preto nada tem, senão iria aparentar uma versão apalhaçada de um cruzamento entre a Frida Kahlo e a Elizabeth Taylor.

It Girl: Stephanie Farrow

Stephanie Margarita Farrow (born 3 June 1949) is the lil' sister of iconic Mia Farrow. She became a top model in the late 60's and early 70's, often starring in ads for Biba and even doing some movies with her older sister.
Stephanie was featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, among others, and had supporting roles in some 80's films such as Zelig, The Purple Rose of Cairo and Exposed. She was also one of Barbara Hulanicki's favourite models.
I'm a huge fan of her big sister Mia, always found her pixie hairstyle very pretty, loved her role in Rosemary's Baby and obsessed about her love story with Frank Sinatra. However, there is something very special about Stephanie Farrow. That freckly beauty, haunting big blue eyes, endless hair, and her sense of style, simultaneously innocent and cool, got me curious about her. I don't know much more about Stephanie but she is indeed one of my 60's style icons - the pea coats, high-waisted shorts, sailor playsuits, black tights paired with mary janes, chic hats and colossal eyelashes will always be an inspiration for me.

Não sei muito sobre ela mas é com certeza um dos meus ícones dos anos 60 - casacos de corte clássico, calções subidos, chapéus de aba larga, collants pretas com sapatos de fivela e pestanas colossais serão sempre parte de um imaginário do qual retiro a minha inspiração.

Home Made Döner Kebab

First of all, I know that the original, classic kebab would be done with lamb but lamb is more expensive than chicken, so... Say hello to my home made chicken döner kebab!

Já sei que o kebab original, o clássico, seria feito com carne de borrego mas como o borrego está caro, mais caro que o frango... Apresento-vos o meu döner kebab de frango caseiro!

Please ignore the fact that I bought garlic mayo instead of making it myself...

Peço-vos que tenham o bom senso de ignorar o facto de eu ter comprado maionese de alho, em vez de me dar ao trabalho de a fazer...

You will need pita bread, and heat it in the toaster, in the oven or even in the microwave - I wouldn't recommend the latter though. Never trust a microwave.

Vão precisar de pão pita, e aquecê-lo na torradeira, no forno ou até no microondas - embora eu não recomende este último. Nunca confiem num microondas.

 Spice the chicken bits with pepper and cumin, for a more exotic experience.

Temperem os bocadinhos de frango com pimenta e cominhos, para um sabor mais exótico.

Voilà! Finished within 5 minutes! Put both doner kebabs in a basket and there you go!
I've also made a juicy lemonade with tons of brown sugar to keep my thirst away.
