♥ Sunday Best ♥ #4

Fascinated by the 19th century's "insane asylums", photographer Christopher Payne set out to document the afterlife of those baleful buildings in Asylum: Inside The Closed World Of State Mental Hospitals — a compendium of images that peel away at a lost world and, in the process, offer a provocative portrait of the history of our (mis)treatment of the mentally ill. This Photography's atmosphere is so eerie - I love it.

Teaser poster for Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac. Minimal and provocative.

I just found a different concept of toys: Undead Teds! Pure fluffy gore. And most of them are sold out already.
So, zombified teddy bears are actually being purchased.

Designers Kyuho Song & Boa Oh created this window socket, which absorbs solar energy. Such an eco-friendly brilliant idea!

I fell in love with these ravishing photographs taken by Pierre Carreau. The "frozen in time" effect is mesmerizing.

This pizza print is absolutely mouthwatering. It would make a quirky dress.

Ever heard of cross-writing? You see, paper was more expensive back in the 19th century.

Cute temporary ink : Ice Cream and Jurassic tattoos! Short-lived and ADORABLE!

Mushroom & Meatballs Spaghetti

Another Italian classic, always welcome in my stomach. What's not to love about pasta, mushrooms and massive meatballs?

Ingredients:
500g minced meat; olive oil; 2 chopped onions; 3 cloves chopped garlic; 250g fresh mushrooms; 1 cup chopped fresh parsley; 1 cup fresh basil; 1 cup fresh oregano; 1/2 cup diced bacon; 3 cups Moscatel or red wine; 1 can Napoli sauce; 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese; Salt to taste; 1 cup bread crumbs; 1 tablespoon black pepper; spaghetti.

Preparation Method:
Cook the spaghetti when water is boiling. When al dente, drain it. Heat olive oil and onions until these get golden. Add garlic. Mix them with the meat, adding chopped mushrooms, diced bacon, Moscatel, half of the Napoli sauce, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, breadcrumbs, parsley, basil and oregano. Mix it well by hand in a large bowl. Roll and compress into tight balls and bread crumb them. Heat frying pan on high heat. Add olive oil. Cook the meatballs with a bit of Moscatel, simmering them for 35-40min, adding a cup of water if needed. Check when they start to get brownish. Add the spaghetti and the rest of the canned Napoli sauce, mix it well along with the fresh mushrooms, parsley, basil and oregano. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Yield: Serves 6.

Ingredientes:

It Girl: Daisy Lowe

She's cool, she's hot, she's stylish! Daughter of Pearl Lowe (fashion designer and former singer-songwriter of indie band Powder) and Gavin Rossdale (Bush frontman and Gwen Stefani's husband), she was raised by Danny Goffey (Supergrass drummer) and only knew Rossdale was her real father at her late teenage years.
I find Daisy Lowe an incredibly sultry girl; she looked insanely awesome in Agent Provocateur and French Connection campaigns.
I admire the fact that she refused to lose weight when asked to. Of course she was dumped by the fashion house for that - but fuck the fashion industry, this girl can eat all she wants, she'll still be gorgeous.
She's usually spotted in hot pants
, Dr Martens and leather jackets, although she is also fond of pastel dresses, cool shirts, 80's rocker frocks, vintage cardigans and chic heels paired with classic blazers.
This brunette British beauty has a concept of personal sense of style that goes beyond "the girl next door" look and she's not afraid to go risqué, sassy and spunky! She's naturally sexy and from what I've heard and seen of her on interviews, she seems quite a nice, simple, friendly and mature person.
I am passionate about her heavy bangs, wide smile and bold lipstick colours. She's just adorable!
