This project is really something. Strongly influenced by a childhood memory, London-based fine art photographer Martin Usborne captured the very core of this tale of loneliness, silence and abandonment - experienced by our dear canine friends. Usborne's photos remind us of what dogs go through at the hands of humans and the fear of being alone, abandoned, trapped and unheard - a fear we all share, dogs and humans. I love these photos and obviously had to share them with everyone else. The reactions of dogs locked inside a vehicle are highlighted in a subtle yet haunting way, some sad, some expectant, some fearful, some angry... Sitting and waiting for someone to come back for them or something to happen. The dark atmosphere take us to our own childhood memories, triggering the same fear and feeling of unease we all felt at least once in our lives. Piercingly poignant, how those dogs express exactly what humans would feel under such distressing situation.
