Saint Laurent Fall RTW 2014 at Paris Fashion Week

French designer Hedi Slimane has proven his talent as the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent and he surely doesn't fail to inspire me.
This collection harks back to the 1960s, pairing kitsch elements and a preppy chic class with a sprinkle of glam rock. I can imagine Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin and Anna Karina wearing those outfits if they were dating The Rolling Stones. I am certainly charmed by the French New Wave cinema vibe and naturally, those glitter mary janes went straight to my neverending wishlist. The models look particularly cool with the black eye make-up and colossal lashes. For some reason, some of the garments really remind me of Anna Sui - I guess that's why I'm loving this collection so much.

Rosaspina Vintage AW 2013

Photography courtesy of Rosaspina Vintage

Rosaspina Vintage A/W 2013 collection is an autumnal fairytale with the quintessential amount of retro charm! It clearly features some early 60's inspired frocks, pleated skirts, rich fabrics, a timeless classic cut, layers of warm hues and pretty collars. There is even this charismatic, whimsical cape, reminiscent of Little Red Riding Hood! These pieces are so classy and somewhat preppy, yet so juvenile in a positively sober fashion. Once again, well done, Ale!

If you feel like shopping, feel free to do it in here.

Katerina Nis "Boardwalk Taffy" SS1314 Collection

Ever heard of Australian designer Katerina Nis? She creates adorably lovely lingerie that I would certainly wear in several occasions. I am not an underwear savvy but all I know is that every girl should own one of those pretty babydolls, just for the sake of it. I can sense a 1960's prom ball vibe in those appealing chiffon layers, frilly pastel shades and sheer ruffles. And can we all just appreciate the styling of this lookbook? Model Hannah Judd looks darling with her big Brigitte Bardot-inspired hairstyle and innocent looks. Robert Saponja was the man behind the camera, by the way.
So, it's too bad these bloomers and babydolls are overpriced, however not that much more expensive than Intimissimi, for instance. Anyway, I will religiously add these beauties to my wishlist. If you feel like splurging, the collection is available on her website.
