NYFW: Zana Bayne FW 2014 - 'The Ornamentalist Collection'

I'm sharing Zana Bayne's first runway show at New York Fashion Week. Such a fierce debut! This collection featured alluring lingerie paired with tassels, leg wraps, sheer gloves, belt straps... and of course, all things leather! And when there's leather involved, I'm in! Okay, some of the pieces were a bit Lady Gaga-ish for my personal taste, but overall I liked everything about this collection: the BDSM feel, the dominatrix style, the stockings, the austere cut... It all remind me of a version of the red light district of Sin City, only set in the 1980s with a dark/goth touch.

I've done this photoshoot quite a while ago but only now I am blogging it. I tried to capture the female essence at its rawest, in the beach and in the woods. Instead of using a proper photographic filter, I covered the camera lense with my sunglasses for a warmer tone and I really liked how these pictures came out. I know the title is as cliché as it gets but you know, gotta love Duran Duran!

Esta sessão fotográfica não é assim tão recente mas só agora a partilho no blog. Eu tentei captar a essência feminina revestida a cru, na praia e em zonas arborizadas. Em vez de utilizar um filtro fotográfico profissional e adequado, muni-me  dos meus óculos de sol, conferindo um tom mais quente (diria morno, vá) às imagens, e gostei bastante do resultado final. Bem sei que o título é cliché até dizer chega mas, quem é que não gosta de Duran Duran?

Inspiration: Catwoman

 

Catwoman, portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns (1992) was, for me, *THE* Catwoman - sorry, Anne Hathway! I believe that only Tim Burton could create such a vampy, obscure, yet sultry female character. 

While Selina Kyle is depicted as the lonely, frustrated, yet dutiful and efficient secretary of corrupt tycoon Max Shreck, Catwoman brings Gotham City a supervillain-esque anti-heroine chaos spree, and eventually, Batman a boner.

Batman Returns has always been one of my favourite films, and I find Catwoman the sexiest villain ever.Whenever I wear tight leather and thigh high boots, I do my best to honor her.

A Catwoman interpretada pela Michelle Pfeiffer em Batman Returns (1992) foi, para mim *A* Catwoman por excelência - desculpa, Anne Hathaway! Eu acredito que só o Tim Burton conseguiria criar uma personagem feminina tão obscura e ao mesmo tempo, tão lasciva.
Enquanto que Selina Kyle representa a frustrada e solitária, porém eficiente e competente, secretária do corrupto Max Shreck, Catwoman traz a Gotham City um surto de caos digno de uma supervilã anti-heroína, e, eventualmente, tesão libidinosa ao Batman.
Batman Returns foi sempre um dos meus filmes preferidos, e eu vejo na Catwoman a vilã mais sexy de sempre.
Sempre que me enfio em cabedal justo e botas acima do joelho, faço o meu melhor para honrá-la.

For the latest A/W 2011 Willems Wonderglasses collection, German photographer Monica Menez directed fashion film ‘Precious’ where modern girlfriend is baking a pizza in a very ‘sexy’ way. Beautiful shot with great framing, lighting and styling. 

After watching this, I immediately googled the gorgeously sultry "Katherin Heck" and even added her on Facebook, and I wonder why is she not a proper celebrity yet. I loved this video, stunningly directed, and also fancy her glasses, if I didn't wear contact lenses, I would probably wear them. Pizza lovers, you better watch this! Are you ready?

Para a última colecção Outono/Inverno 2011 da Willems Wonderglasses, a fotógrafa alemã Monica Menez dirigiu este vídeo, Precious, onde uma namorada ou amante moderna está a cozinhar uma pizza de uma maneira, digamos... sugestiva. Belíssima captura, luz, composição, enquadramentos e styling.

Depois de visionar isto, googlei imediatamente "Katherin Heck", a modelo libidinosa e dedicada do filmezinho, até a adicionei no Facebook, e pergunto-me porque é que esta mulher ainda não se tornou uma celebridade à séria. Adorei o vídeo, e quanto aos óculos, se eu não usasse lentes de contacto, optaria por usar uns deste género. Amantes de pizza, é bom que vejam isto! Preparados?
