Sunny Afternoon in Phoenix Park

Sun means serotonin. It also means that Phoenix Park is the place to be. 707 hectares of infinite green - an invitation for halcyon times and epic picnics on lazy Sundays. Home to a herd of wild Fallow deer, this is one of the largest urban parks in Europe, as it's five times the size of London's Hyde Park and double the size of New York's Central Park! Its whole area includes Dublin Zoo, Deerfield Residence, Magazine Fort, Ashtown Castle, People's Gardens, a Victorian tea kiosk, ponds, Jurassic-looking trees, endless grassland and a view to Dublin Mountains. Not to mention the squirrels, ducks, swans, birds and foxes. Established in 1662, Phoenix Park offers an idyllic countryside backdrop perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The awakening of Spring can be witnessed outdoors, even if subtle and shy, and a walk in the park intensifies the experience, specially now that daylight lasts longer.
