Voidcloud

I decided to scan one of my abstract paintings, Voidcloud, and try to analyse it. It feels like there are many dark clouds inside my head and there is someone or something trying to scratch the surface to get some joy out of all the negativity. I don't paint for so long, that I'm not even sure if I'd still be aple to put my inspiration into art, or if I would block and get stuck, unable to paint anything at all. Anyway, feel free to write down your opinion, even if it's crap - I mean the painting, not your opinion. Constructive criticism is always welcome!

  2. Art is never crap - it might not be "hang it in the Guggenheim or Tate" level, but that certainly doesn't mean that it's bad or any less worthy of being called art and described in positive terms.

My eye travels first here to the hint of yellow and green - a bit of a sun and grassy earth sort of vibe pours out and I'm struck by how it looks a bit like both have been covered in a dark layer of oil or charcoal hued ash. The red could read as either sad (as in, say, fire or blood) or positive (luck, red flowers, a happily beating heart, etc), and gives a sense of optimism to the piece for me more than one of despair.

  6. Wow, this is beautiful. I love the colors, seems sorta dark. It reminds me of one of process art, which is something I love to do.
