French designer Hedi Slimane has proven his talent as the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent and he surely doesn't fail to inspire me.
This collection harks back to the 1960s, pairing kitsch elements and a preppy chic class with a sprinkle of glam rock. I can imagine Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin and Anna Karina wearing those outfits if they were dating The Rolling Stones. I am certainly charmed by the French New Wave cinema vibe and naturally, those glitter mary janes went straight to my neverending wishlist. The models look particularly cool with the black eye make-up and colossal lashes. For some reason, some of the garments really remind me of Anna Sui - I guess that's why I'm loving this collection so much.

ReplyDeleteI legitimately adore this entire collection, as well as the hair, makeup and accessories. <3 The glitter plaid skirt and black velvet dress are my favorites, along with pretty much all of the shoes!
ReplyDeleteQuando vi as primeiras imagens desta colecção no Style pensei de imediato em ti!!! Não me enganei. Gosto dos looks no geral, apesar de para a minha pessoa os achar demasiado juvenis - as saias são demasiado curtas, e se por exemplo pensasse em lhes aumentar a bainha para que eu me sentisse confortavel em usar algo look alike a esta colecção, já entrava numa vibe que a mim me fazia lembrar demasiado os anos 70. Mas tu com essas pernocas lindonas, mulher, veste-te assim no próximo Outono Inverno, que é a tua cara!!!
