♥ Sunday Best ♥ #47

I need to live in this house.

Located in between Bronx and Queens, there is North Brother Island, an abandoned island in the middle of NYC. In 1885 the island was used to build a hospital complex to quarantine and treat people from smallpox and typhoid fever. In the 1950s it was turned into a rehab center. It has been abandoned since 1963. I'd love to go there!

One of my favourite scenes ever!

This is a resonance experiment with salt! Using a vibrating metal plated connected to tone generator, Scientist Bruss Pup performs scientific magic by controlling dancing grains of salt in specific patterns.

Coyote riding public rail. Welcome to America!

  2. It really is what it is. And if it's not love, then it's a disease.

  3. Adorava ir à north brother island! Adorei as audreys e parti-me a rir com o gif do senhor a cair (how mean tho) e terem fechado a portinha de novo ahahahahah. A experiência do Burss Pup está algo de fantástico!

  9. Love the little house, so cool :) The man seems to have fallen down the storage basement where they keep extra things they sell, but I wonder why they put the lid back on it, haha. Where did he go!?! Strange. Something that would have happen to me, haha!! Coyote riding the train, love it!! xx

  10. I always love your sunday best posts so much. You always find things that are extremely interesting. The island off the coat of Manhattan sounds haunting and wonderful. I wonder if there are ferries to take to the island, or if you have to hop in your own boat and sneak onto the island. That animation of the guy falling into the cellar: haha loved how the other guy just closed the hatch at the end of the clip as if nothing ever happened. I love the coyote on the train. There have been stories of animals riding public transportation before and I always find them so funny and cute.
