A Weekend in St Andrews

My love affair with Scotland is eternal. The people, the Nature, the landscape, the History, the heritage... Golf culture aside, St Andrews is a lovely small town rich in medieval ruins, loaded with cosy coffee shops and embellished by a sandy coastline. Quaint and quiet pedestrian paths eventually lead you to sheltered, almost intimate, pubs. When the weather is dreary and the snow is falling, can you think of anything better than having scotch after scotch at the bar of a public house? Neglecting the idyllic outdoors for 45 minutes never hurt anyone. Several wee drams later, you go outside and inhale the windy breeze that brings you the smell of this seaside gem. I can't wait to go back there in the mild days of Summer.

  7. I feel like I always leave the same comment on your blog, Nancy, but your photographs really are so bloody gorgeous. I don't know what you do for work but I really hope it involves photography - you have such a talent for it.
