Peter Pan Syndrome

Skirt: Zara | T-Shirt: Primark | Cardigan: eBay | Sunglasses: ASOS | Brogues: eBay | Necklace: eBay

It took me a looong time to go barelegged. My excuses included the fact that I didn't want to get tanned, my love for tights, me not shaving my legs for months (don't ask!) and also because I'm in denial about Summer coming back next month already. The atmosphere has been so dry lately, I feel like I'm in the middle of the desert whenever I breathe (well, Morocco is not far away) and I get a nosebleed every now and then. The heat takes away all of my energy so no wonder I want to sleep all day instead of going to work. I better get ready for the hectic hot months ahead...
Noticed my temporary tattoos? Of course they had to be jurassic themed! Dinosaurs and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pretty much sum up my childhood, encapsulating my obsession for fiction and the Jurassic. Dinosaurs were way more interesting than Barbie dolls, even though I played with both teams.

Daisy Fields Forever

Trench Coat: Sammydress | Satchel: vintage | Blouse: vintage | Skirt: eBay | Tights: H&M | Saddle Shoes: eBay

I'm not sure if this outfit and photos were ruined or blessed by the wind. I am slowly getting used to Spring and its mood swings. I've also been trying to get back to reality aka everyday life. After my so well-deserved holidays, I still don't feel ready for routine to kick in. Not to mention I miss Ireland terribly and can't wait to go back. My days at work are getting busier (I blame Easter!) and I hardly have time for myself. I guess that's the price I have to pay so I can afford going somewhere else. All the money I've earned with my own sweat is the living proof of how sacrifice pays (well, crime would pay more, obviously). At least, in this case. I am proud of not depending on my parents when it comes to save and spend - that's probably my biggest achievement. It doesn't sound like a big deal but it is to me. I've been working hard for years so I could have my financial independence and it feels good when it finally comes the time for a little reward.
Now, back to the outfit. Saddle shoes, floral tights, ponytail - isn't this an in-your-face Springtime look? Oh, and daisies. Of course. As if one could ever imagine Spring without daisies...

Springtime Serenade

I am welcoming Spring and saying farewell to Winter. But what I'm really celebrating is the fact that I happen to be on holidays... for two weeks! Finally, fucking finally. I don't have many plans but I'll let you all know the travel destination I picked out soon. Anywaaaaay, do you fancy my brand new boater hat? It's definitely one of the key items associated with Spring. I also found myself in love with my recently purchased ultra-kitsch and cute duck jumper. This time I even painted my nails (!), which I rarely do because I am too lazy to bother removing the nail polish when it starts to crack and flake off (how horrible is that?) and too clumsy to do it properly. Well, I guess that Barbie pink nails at the equinox can't be a bad idea, right?

Welcome Spring!

Sunglasses: ASOS | Brooch: Ebay | Blouse: Primark | Cardigan: Feira da Ladra | Skirt: Zara | Belt: ASOS | Tights: ASOS | Shoes: Zara

Spring has sprung and once again, the exciting seasonal post gets published a bit later than the expected. Due to the windy, rainy weather, it hasn't been possible for me to capture the essence of Spring properly, so, please excuse the delay.
Springtime arrived, embellished by Easter egg blues and St.Patrick's greens, blooming blossoms, daisy fresh florals and pastel hues. Flowers beautify the delightful countryside, sprinkled with the occasional showers.

All I needed to photoshoot our Springtime concept of style was the tripod and a field full of daisies. And of course, my dear Cláudia. These photographs were taken at her boyfriend's farm, and the dogs and cat couldn't help joining us.
I decided to wear saccharine colours, pairing lavender tights with an ivory lace skirt, styled with a bright salmon blouse with white buttons and a lovely scalloped collar, a pale yellow belt and a vintage thrifted floral angora cardigan. I also managed to show off my rainbow brooch - isn't it adorable?! - and my whimsical cat-eyed sunglasses.  So, it was a fine and fun snapshot afternoon, overall - apart from the flea bites and my messy Mad Men-esque hairstyle.
